COPA Convention & Trade Show, 2017
The first Aviation Convention of its kind in the Central Okanagan, and deemed "the best COPA Convention ever!" by many delegates in attendance.

From idea to vision to proposal to strategic planning, as the Chair of the COPA 2017 Convention and Trade Show Organizing Committee Pamela produced the first aviation convention at the Kelowna International Airport.

The event included the COPA Annual General Meeting, Aviation Trade Show, 14 break-out sessions and panel discussions (all at UBCO), and aircraft parking and static display at Kelowna International Airport's Tower View site created exclusively for this event.

COPA For Kids Jr. Aviator Program event
As Captain of Flight #36 of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) Pamela was the Event Captain for COPA For Kids 2014 and 2015, and co-Captain for 2016. This program provides youth between the ages of 8 to 17 an introductory flight in a small aircraft, introducing youth to the wonders of aviation.

Pamela's legacy was the transition of this event from primarily a flight experience only to a community event with the flight experience, exhibitors and static display.

CL-215 Water Bomber and Crews Meet and Greet
With two weeks notice Pamela organized a meet and greet fundraiser event with the Buffalo Airways Ltd. pilots and NWT Government's Canadair CL-215s airside at Kelowna International Airport. This event was well attended by over 400 community members.

Serenity Walk for Childhood Cancer Research
Pamela was the Coordinator for this local fundraiser in support of her grand-neice Serenity; a childhood cancer survivor. Within a six week planning period Pamela and her committee raised over $5,000 presented to the BC Childhood Cancer Parents' Association.

BC Special Olympics Winter Games (Sporting Event)
As Chairperson for the 1995 BC Special Olympics Provincial Winter Games Pamela managed, supported, coached and directed a 21 member Board of Directors and 700 volunteers. This event was attended by over 500 athletes and coaches from 44 communities in BC. Pamela refers to this event as "one of the most rewarding positions of my career," representing the power of successful teamwork. Pamela was presented with the 1996 Kaizen Special Events award from BC Sport for “significant contribution to the success of an event”.

Moonlight Serenade Charity Gala (Fundraiser)
This black tie event was organized to increase awareness of the title sponsor as well as raise funds for a local charity. The available 225 tickets were sold-out for this outdoor (under the moon) event, featuring a champagne reception, three course dinner, silent and live acutions and entertainment.

Trade Show Management and Operations
International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Las Vegas, NV
CES is the largest Consumer technology show in the world. This show takes up to a year of planning, and media attention is a coveted prize for those who do it well.

Our involvement began with the coordination and application for the 2008 Innovations Award (Design and Engineering category), and encompassed all logistical planning, media, shipping, booth organization, scheduling, partner liaisons, booth set up and management. The FMS Flight Motion Simulator booth was one of the busiest at the show!

International Toy Fair, New York, NY
This trade show has over 25,000 attendees and 1200 exhibitors. Making your product presence known and remembered takes premeditated planning!

Our involvement included providing logistical planning assistantce to the Director of Sales, booth organization and set-up and booth manning (product representation).

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI
This Fly-In Convention is one of the world's premier aviation events, attracting more than 500,000 of aviation enthusiasts and over 10,000 airplanes, top government officials and corporate leaders.

Our client's objective: a new-to-market product launch. Our involvement included the logistical planning, media advertising, market surveys and feedback, booth organization and set-up and booth manning (product representation).

Sun 'n Fun Air Show, Lakeland, FL
Another trade show attended by thousands of aviation enthusiasts, this airshow event is known as the 'kick-off' avaiation event in the USA. Our participation included logistical planning, shipping, booth set up and management, and product representation.

Pamela and husband Daryl Nelson are regular static display attendees at the Abbotsford Air Show in British Columbia, Canada.
